Dictadroid Voice Recorder mobile app and Dictadroid Transcription Service were developed by SoftEight. This Privacy Policy has been established to help you understand our commitment to protecting your privacy with respect to information, including personally identifiable information (PII).
Changes to Dictadroid Privacy Policy
Dictadroid reserves the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time and from time to time without prior notice. Please review this policy periodically, and especially before you provide any Personal Data. Your continued use of the app and service we provide after any changes or revisions to this Privacy Policy shall indicate your agreement with the terms of such revised Privacy Policy. Personal Information
Your privacy is very important to us and we developed Dictadroid Voice Recorder and Dictadroid Transcription Service with your privacy in mind.
We collect Personal Data from you when you voluntarily provide such information such as when you create an account for access to the Transcription Services or contact us with inquiries. When creating an account, we only collect your name, email, and an encrypted password, and this information is used only to identify you when you submit audio files for transcription.
You can log into your account and edit your personal data at any time. You have the right to change your information at any time.
Your audio materials are used for transcription purposes only when you choose to transcribe them. You can be guaranteed that all audio materials will not be shared with anyone. Under no circumstance does Dictadroid sell your information to or share your information with anyone at any time.
Secure Storage
We do our utmost to ensure that all reasonable steps are taken to make sure that your data is stored securely. All of the audio files you upload to be transcribed as well as the transcription documents are stored on secure storage servers, and cannot be accessed by anyone other then you and the transcriptionist performing the work.
Unfortunately the sending of information via the internet is not totally secure and on occasion such information can be intercepted. We cannot guarantee the security of data that you choose to send us electronically. Sending such information is entirely at your own risk.
Credit card information used to make purchases of the transcription service is collected, processed and stored by our partner Stripe Payments, Ltd. No member of Dictadroid has access to this information. Please contact Stripe (support@stripe.com) with any questions. You should review their privacy policy before sending them any personal data, a copy of which can be found here.
HIPAA Compliance
Safeguarding client data, including Protected Health Information (PHI), is a top priority at Dictadroid. We are a HIPAA compliant transcription provider, authorized to process files with private medical data. Privacy Policy In Regards To Children
Dictadroid does not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13. If you are under the age of 13, please do not submit any personal information through the Site, Service or App. We encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children’s Internet usage and to help enforce this Policy by instructing their children never to provide personal information through the App or Service without their permission.
Usage Analytics
In order to improve Dictadroid, we added Google Analytics to the Dictadroid Voice Recorder app. It collects user behavior information in an anonymous way and transmits it to Google's Analytics servers. That means only usage data is collected, not personally identifiable information. We can use this analytics to create reports that help us identify the most useful features of Dictadroid and improve less useful ones. To learn more check out Google Analytics.
No Advertising
Dictadroid Voice recorder contains no advertising of any kind.
Permissions
To work properly, Dictadroid requires the following permissions:
- Contacts - find accounts on the device
- Phone - read phone status and identity
- Storage - read, modify, or delete the contents of your USB storage
- Microphone - record audio
- Other - view network connections, full network access, change your audio settings, prevent device from sleeping
